Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University will graduate more than 180 students May 14 at the Raising Cane’s River Center. Ceremonies begin at 10 a.m.

Students will be graduating from the School of Nursing, School of Arts and Sciences, and School of Health Professions.  

Pinning and awards ceremonies will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church today from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. for the School of Health Professions and from 4 – 6 p.m. for the School of Nursing and School of Arts and Sciences.

Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge received an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for spring 2022. This national distinction recognizes achievements in protecting patients from preventable harm and error in the hospital.

OMC – Baton Rouge is one of 15 Ochsner Health hospitals and partners across the Gulf South that received an “A” grade from Leapfrog.

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University was selected as a 2022 Impact Award winner in the Student Experience category by Ellucian, a higher education technology solutions provider. 

The annual Impact Awards celebrate visionaries in higher education who inspire others to push the boundaries of technology and innovation. FranU is one among eight institutions honored with this award and will receive a $25,000 grant as a winner.

The two leading providers of pediatric healthcare in Louisiana, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health and Children’s Hospital New Orleans, announced that they have entered into a non-binding agreement to explore structures within which the organizations might work together in support of the children and families each serves.

A Letter of Intent that was signed recently states that the two systems will explore collaborating in the delivery of pediatric health services, with a uniform, elevated standard of care for the communities that the systems currently serve.
