Capital Area Human Services (CAHS) has been awarded a four-year federal grant, totaling $3.9 million to plan and develop a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic.

The new grant was awarded from Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and includes two Baton Rouge-based collaborating agencies, LSU-Social Research and Evaluation Center and the Bridge Center for Hope.

The Louisiana Primary Care Association has been awarded $2.2 million to bolster training, education, and programming to address healthcare professional shortages in Louisiana’s Delta Region.

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Foundation has received a $100,000 gift from the Mauti Cancer Fund, establishing the Mauti Cancer Endowment Fund. The fund will support Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center’s ongoing efforts in promoting cancer prevention through a variety of screening events and educational opportunities.

This is the latest support offered by Rich Mauti and the Mauti Cancer Fund. Since 2005, the organization has donated more than $150,000 to support cancer prevention and efforts to educate communities about the importance of early detection.

The public is invited to bring their pets and families to this celebration of St. Francis’ love for all of God’s creation. All pets are welcome to attend and receive a blessing.
