Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center has presented awards to local leaders and organizations who “have gone above and beyond to support the Cancer Center and its patients through philanthropy.” They were recently recognized at the Cancer Center’s “Our Community” celebration in Baton Rouge.

Tuan Tran, MD, a laparoscopic and robotic surgeon specializing in general and bariatric surgery, recently joined Baton Rouge General’s Advanced Robotics Institute. Tran treats inguinal hernias, abdominal wall hernias, gastroesophageal reflux disease, gallbladders, and colon diseases. He also performs weight loss surgery at BRG’s Louisiana Center for Bariatrics.
