The Wheels to Succeed adapted bike program gifted its 200th bike on Dec. 9. Wheels to Succeed is a program of Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health Children’s Developmental Center at McMains.

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center has officially launched its new H.N. Saurage IV Distinguished Lecture series dedicated to innovation in medical physics. On Oct. 20, the Cancer Center welcomed Steve Jiang, PhD, vice chair and chief of the Division of Medical Physics & Engineering at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, to serve as the series’ first guest lecturer.

Earlier this year, the American Ambulance Association (AAA) elected its board of directors to begin terms in 2023. Among those elected are Acadian Ambulance Chief Legal Officer Allyson Pharr and Regional Vice President Ron Quaranto.
Pharr will serve as the Region 4 Director for three years, and Quaranto will represent Region 4 on the Ethics Committee for a four-year term. Region 4 spans Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. In addition, Quaranto will serve as chair of the Workforce Committee.
