In partnership with Acadian Health, the Louisiana Department of Health’s Medicaid program announces an emergency room (ER) utilization reduction pilot program launching this month across the 12 parishes comprising Region 4 (Acadiana) and Region 5 (Southwest Louisiana). The six-month program minimizes unnecessary ambulance calls and ER visits while ensuring access and quality care for the state’s most vulnerable health population.

CARF International announced that the Capital Area Human Services (CAHS) has been accredited for three years for the following programs and services: Outpatient Treatment: Mental Health (Adults) and (Children and Adolescents); Outpatient Treatment: Substance Use Disorders/Addictions (Adults) and (Children and Adolescents); and for Residential Treatment: Substance Use Disorders/Addictions (Adults).
The latest accreditation is the fifth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation CARF International awarded to Capital Area Human Services.
