Acadian Air Med has announced that Maranda Granger is the company’s new chief flight nurse.
Granger holds 16 years of ICU and ER nursing experience and a background in education, along with Air Med operational knowledge. She joined Acadian Air Med as a registered nurse in October 2019. Since then, she has worked at multiple Air Med bases throughout the program and has been a flight line supervisor for the past two years.
President-elect Donald Trump recently announced his nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Dr. Mehmet Oz as leader of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). .
Chad Major, president of the Professional Fire Fighters Association of Louisiana, along with Brent Rosenbrook, PFFALA fundraising coordinator, presented a check for $30,000 in support of the American Heart Association’s Nation of Lifesavers Initiative. The purpose of Nation of Lifesavers is to turn more bystanders into lifesavers, with the education of Hands Only CPR.
Acadian Ambulance is urging everyone to have a safe and happy Thanksgiving and holiday season by offering the following safety tips:
Travel safety:
-Make sure your car is in proper working order before you hit the road
-Follow all travel signs and advisories, and check the weather conditions along your route.
-Don’t text or scroll through social media while driving.
-Map your route in advance or use a hands-free navigation assistant, and be prepared for busy roads during the most popular times of the year.
