HEALTHCARE JOURNAL OF BATON ROUGE I  MAR / APR 2023 17 Tulane and their desire to create a nursing school will certainly help in the future as well. Editor Greg, if you were speaking to a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give to yourself? Feirn I would say make sure that you focus and celebrate on the successes that your employees achieve. They, more than any- one, need to hear it. The more you celebrate it, the more they celebrate it. The way that a management team or an executive shows up is how folks that report to that individual will show up. I think when you can talk about what a privilege it is to serve a community or what a privilege it is to save someone’s life in a day, and you can celebrate those things, your folks are going to show up with a sense of pride and commitment to an organization that will pay in huge dividends. It just will. Editor I understand you’re on the board of the New Orleans Museum of Art. What drew you to that? Feirn Because of what they offer to the city, their importance of making New Orleans a great place with all of our culture, etc. There are so many organizations that make this community special, and they serve the community in certain ways that make it attractive for professionals to move here and build a family. I saw that organiza- tion as one of those that’s important to the community. Editor Are you an artist, or do you have a favorite artist? Feirn I am not an artist. I guess my favorite artist would probably be Hunt Slonem. Editor Thank you for your time. Feirn Thank you. We’re looking forward to positive changes to the future of healthcare and playing a role in what that looks like. n Feirn with Lou Fragoso, president and CEO, Children’s Hospital New Orleans
