NURSING HOMES 34 JAN / FEB 2023 I  HEALTHCARE JOURNAL OF BATON ROUGE   The November 2022 CMS report on nursing homes shows Louisiana has 41% of homes with a one-star ranking, 23%with a two-star, 21%with a three-star, 10%with a four-star, and 5% with a five-star. This places Louisiana’s nursing homes last, followed byMississippi at 49th, Georgia at 48th, Texas at 47th, and West Virginia at 46th. Top-ranking states are Hawaii in first followed by Alaska in second, Idaho in third, Delaware in fourth, and Utah in fifth.
