We love caring for patients in this com- munity and look forward to many years ahead.” Our Lady of the Lake Welcomes Three Physicians Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group wel- comes Daniel Marsh, MD, to its team. Special- izing in internal medicine, Marsh diagnoses and helps patients manage diseases involving any of the organ systems, including patients with advanced illness and diseases impacting more than one system. Marsh’s office is located at Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group at 7777 Hen- nessy Blvd., Medical Plaza 1 Suite 406 in Baton Rouge. Marsh has been in practice for more than 30 years and previously served as the ACO medi- cal director of clinical integration for the Fran- ciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. He received a Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health Sciences University, completed an internal medicine residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon, and a nephrology fellowship at Indiana University in Indianapolis. He is board- certified in internal medicine and nephrology. Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health Pediat- rics at Zachary welcomes Melissa Eddy-Shelby, MD, as she joins the growing team of children’s health pediatric providers. Eddy-Shelby’s office is located at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health Pediatrics at Zachary, 4242 Highway 19, Suite C. Eddy-Shelby received an undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana Univer- sity and a master’s degree from Mississippi Col- lege. She then earned a medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She completed a pediatric residency at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge. Her expertise is providing care from infants to adoles- cents, with minor to complex illnesses. Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health Endo- crinology welcomes Marcela Astudillo Jarrin, MD, to its growing team of providers. Astudillo Jar- rin specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of endocrine disorders in children including diabetes, thyroid disorders, abnormal growth, disorders of puberty and pituitary hor- mone deficiencies. Her office is located at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health Endocrinology at 8200 Constantin Blvd. in Baton Rouge. Astudillo Jarrin earned a medical degree from Universidad del Azuay School of Medicine in Ecuador. She completed a pediatric residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center and a pediat- ric endocrinology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital in Hous- ton. She is certified in pediatrics and pediatric advanced life support. Astudilo Jarrin is fluent in both Spanish and English. Hogs for the Cause Opens Registration for Charity BBQCook-Off Hogs for the Cause announced that its 14th annual charity barbeque cook-off and music festival will take place April 1-2, 2022. Team registration is ongoing at hogsfest.com. The loca- tion will be announced later this year, and the musical lineup and ticket sales will be released in December. “We have been planning non-stop for the next event since the outstanding success we had in June,” says Becker Hall, CEO and co- founder of Hogs. “Our goal is always to help more families in need, and our teams have raised the bar on that goal. We expect 2022 to be epic!” The 2021 event raised nearly $3 million dollars. The Hogs for the Cause events and fundraising successes have made it possible to broaden the mission to include building Hogs Houses, places for the most critical patients and their families to stay. With plans to build a Hogs House on Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital campus in Baton Rouge, the organization has earmarked $2.25 Million. The Hogs Family Residence will serve as on-campus housing for any family from the Baton Rouge area or other regions of the state who have a child receiving ongoing child healthcare treatment at the children’s hospital. Hogs for the Cause sponsors include Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, Michelob Ultra, Phelps Dunbar, Irpino Avin Hawkins and Boucaner Wine. CIS Names NewChief Operating Officer Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) has named Ryan Hebert as chief operating officer, fol- lowing the retirement of Joey Fontenot, who has served in this role since 2001. Hebert has been with CIS since 2014, previously serving as the executive vice president of Cardio- vascular Services. He has been instrumental in the strategic leadership of operations related to the growth and success of CIS in regard to hospital Ryan Hebert
