DIALOGUE 8 MAY / JUN 2021 I  HEALTHCARE JOURNAL OF BATON ROUGE   Dr. Bill Cassidy, a gastroenterologist, is the senior U.S. senator from Louisiana and serves on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP); Energy and Natural Resources; Finance; Veterans Affairs; and Joint Economic committees. Prior to serving in Congress, Dr. Cassidy worked in Louisiana’s charity hospital system for over 25 years and cofounded the Greater Baton Rouge Community Clinic, providing free healthcare to uninsured and underinsured patients.
