At Mary Bird Perkins, we believe every person should have convenient access to high quality prevention and early detection services.” Children’s Hospital NewOrleans Opens NewMulti-Specialty Center in Baton Rouge Children’s Hospital New Orleans announced an all new multi-specialty center, located in the Baton Rouge health district on the campus of Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Since 2005, Children’s Hospital New Orleans has operated a specialty clinic in Baton Rouge. The 12,000 square foot center features 24 exam rooms, two treatment rooms, and a dedicated room for echocardiograms. The expanded facil- ity will also allow for increased capacity, with signif- icantly more provider coverage for pediatric sub- specialties such as cardiology and ENT, and the addition of mental and behavioral health services. Children’s Hospital will continue to offer in-clinic diagnostic services, including x-ray and echo/EKG. Audiology services will be offered at the new Baton Rouge location beginning this fall. “With these investments, Children’s Hospital New Orleans is proud to deliver greater access to care for the Baton Rouge community, bringing pediatric subspecialists close to home for families across the greater Baton Rouge area,” says Lou Fragoso, senior vice president and chief adminis- trative officer at Children’s Hospital New Orleans. Pediatric specialties offered at the new Baton Rouge clinic include allergy and immunology, car- diology, dermatology, ENT, endocrinology, gas- troenterology, genetics, nephrology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, PMR, rheumatology, urology, psychology, plastic surgery, virtual care, and diagnostic services.
