Geaux Clean Joins Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center as Corporate Partner Geaux Clean Car Wash is partnering with Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Cen- ter through a corporate partnership that includes a gift to expand and advance cancer care. Geaux Clean’s commitment comes after a close friend of the company’s owners was diagnosed with can- cer and treated successfully at the Cancer Center. “Everyone has been touched by cancer, but it wasn’t until we watched a close friend go through their cancer journey that we realized the life- changing impact a cancer diagnosis can have. We are grateful to have the most advanced care avail- able right here at home and honored to partner with the Cancer Center to expand early detec- tion in our community,” explained Jill and Stuart Carter, owners of Geaux Clean Car Wash. Funds provided to the Cancer Center as part of the corporate partnership will support a variety of initiatives, including the Cancer Center’s Preven- tion on the Go workplace program, which brings early detection, prevention, education, and screenings to worksites. Geaux Clean employ- ees will be screened for different types of cancers and if any abnormal findings are discovered, they will be navigated by a nurse for follow-up testing and care. In addition, Geaux Clean will serve as a key sponsor of the Cancer Center’s signature fun- draising events such as The Gala, Hillar C. Moore Jr. Golf Classic, and Geaux Yoga. “The generosity of organizations such as Geaux Clean is key to advancing our mission to improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer,” said Danielle Mack, vice president and chief development officer, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. “One hundred percent of Geaux Clean’s support directly benefits patients, so the com- pany and its employees can feel good in knowing that this partnership will positively impact many lives.
