Hartley What is unique about the Pointe Coupee healthcare commu- nity, and how does it affect the services pro- vided by Pointe Coupee General Hospital? Chad Olinde  Pointe Coupee has a very close knit community of providers. The health- care leaders in the parish fully recognize the importance of collaboration in pro- viding services to the residents of our par- ish. One of our partners, Our Lady of the Lake (OLOL), has had a strong presence in our parish since the 1980s, when OLOL managed Pointe Coupee General Hospital (PCGH). Today, the Lake Physician Group, which provides most of the primary care in our parish, is an important component of our healthcare delivery system. To increase operational efficiency, PCGH recently com- pleted construction of the 11,000 square foot medical office building, and consolidated the five Lake physician offices.Another partner, the Baton Rouge Clinic, includes two internal medicine physicians. The New Roads loca- tion is the only Baton Rouge Clinic location outside of East Baton Rouge Parish, and we are fortunate to have these two physi- cian groups on our campus in New Roads. In addition, we have Arbor Family Health, which is a group of clinics organized as a Federally Qualified Health Center. Arbor Health was initially organized by PCGH in 1999, and has grown to four primary care clinics, two school based clinics, dental and mental health services. The FQHC is a vital cog in the healthcare delivery system in our parish. PCGH has strong working relation- ships with each of these physician organi- zations, and relies on their experience and expertise to provide primary care to Pointe Coupee.
