He has lead responsibilities for the company's government relations and legislative advocacy, and monitoring interactions with local, state, and federal entities. “Jimmie will perform exceptionally in this new role,” said Ron Hogan, chief operating officer. “He has established deep, positive relationships with many leaders and providers across the State and region and demonstrates the ability to build efficient provider-governmental coalitions. TCHN is blessed to have Jimmie working hand-in-hand with key elected leaders and policy makers.” Benoit, a noted healthcare industry specialist with more than 30 years of leadership and award- winning performance in both the public and pri- vate sector, first joined The Carpenter Health Net- work in 2007 as a partner and administrator for STAT Home Health. For 12 years, he oversaw the operations of locations in Lafayette and Butte LaRose. Benoit was selected in 2016 to serve as a mem- ber of Gov. John Bel Edwards’ Transition Com- mittee on Healthcare. In service to the State of Louisiana, Benoit worked with fellow Health- care Advisory Team members to examine Louisi- ana's hospital public-private partnerships and to develop solutions for reducing healthcare costs to Louisiana taxpayers. Benoit earned a Bachelor’s in Business Admin- istration from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Benoit is a native and resident of Breaux Bridge, where he resides with his wife Cabrini and their son Harry. Capital Area Human Services Awarded Reaccreditation The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabili- tation Facilities (CARF) recently announced that Capital Area Human Services (CAHS) has been accredited for three years for the following pro- grams and services—Outpatient Treatment: Alco- hol and Other Drugs/Addictions (Adults); Out- patient Treatment: Alcohol and Other Drugs/ Addictions (Children and Adolescents); Outpa- tient Treatment: Mental Health (Adults); Outpa- tient Treatment: Mental Health (Children and Adolescents); and for Residential Treatment: Alcohol and Other Drugs/Addictions (Adults). CAHS provides community-based programs and services for mental health, developmental disabilities, and addiction recovery in the Louisi- ana parishes of Ascension, East and West Baton Rouge, East and West Feliciana, Iberville, and Pointe Coupee. The latest accreditation is the third consecutive three-year accreditation CARP International has issued to Capital Area Human Services. This accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organi- zation and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organi- zation receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering pro- grams and services that are measurable, account- able, and of the highest quality.  James “Jimmie” Benoit
