This will comple- ment our health center on VeteransAvenue in Hammond. Ochsner will also build two additional local health centers to bring more primary care to our communities. The first will be in south Baton Rouge, at the corner of Bluebonnet and Burbank, and the second will be in Gonzales, near Highway 44 and Highway 30. Are there partnerships with other hospital systems in the works, or is everyone work- ing more independently? The Ochsner Health Network (OHN) is comprised of leading health systems, their employed physician groups, and affiliated community physicians across the greater Gulf South. OHN serves as the leader in healthcare delivery innovation and is the largest “super” Clinically Integrated Net- work in our region. (OMCBR). With a 24/7 ER at our O’Neal campus, our hospital will continue provid- ing services to patients with emergent and/ or complex needs. Ochsner Medical Com- plex – The Grove will deliver surgical ser- vices to patients with scheduled short-stay conditions, freeing up resources, operating rooms, and inpatient beds at OMCBR. What other partnerships and expansions should we expect in greater Baton Rouge from Ochsner? We are excited to announce additional expansion efforts in the greater Baton Rouge area. These investments will enable us to meet consumers where they are. Och- sner will open two new urgent care centers, offering more convenient care on weekends and after hours. Most ER visits can be taken care of at an urgent care in half the time and at a much lower cost to the patient. Our new urgent care centers will be located near Highland and I-10, and on Airline Highway in Gonzales. In addition, we have plans to expand our health center in Prairieville to nearly double the square footage.
