One on One THERESA SOKOL , MPH Louisiana Office of Public Health, Infectious Disease Epidemiology Theresa Sokol has a master’s in public health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She has worked for the Louisiana Office of Public Health since 2001. She currently serves as the acting state epidemiologist and program director for the Infectious Disease Epidemiology section. In this capacity, she has led Louisiana’s epidemiologic response to outbreaks such as Zika, Ebola, hepatitis A, mumps, and most recently, COVID-19.
