Ochsner Baton Rouge today announced the opening of a new MRI suite at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove, set to begin serving patients on June 9. The suite features both 1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla Siemens MRI systems.
The 3 Tesla MRI provides superior image resolution and enables highly specialized imaging, including detailed views of small structures such as joint cartilage, as well as the most advanced imaging for breast and prostate care. This enhanced precision supports earlier detection and more personalized treatment planning for patients.
The new MRI suite is part of Ochsner Baton Rouge’s broader $50 million investment to expand facilities, recruit additional physicians and improve access to high-quality care across the region. Together, these efforts reflect a continued commitment to meeting the growing healthcare needs of the Baton Rouge community.
The advanced MRI systems significantly improve patient access to care by increasing the number of scans that can be completed each day while reducing the time required for each appointment.
