Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University (FranU) announced the launch of the Franciscan Center for Professional Development in October, offering specialized professional development opportunities exclusively designed for healthcare professionals.
This unique Center, the first of its kind in the State of Louisiana, provides tailored learning experiences designed to meet the specific needs of the healthcare workforce.
With a focus on equipping healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills required to excel in an ever-evolving field, the Center offers a range of high-quality, accessible, and customized professional development programs. These include in-person workshops, online courses, webinars, and certifications that address the critical gaps in healthcare education and career advancement.
Starting in mid-October, the Center will offer online courses and in-person events, followed by webinars and certifications next year. These courses are designed to help healthcare professionals enhance their skills and advance in their careers by providing practical, immediately applicable knowledge.
“What sets this Center apart is the strong collaboration between the University and its healthcare partners. Healthcare leaders and academic experts come together to create courses that are both evidence-based and highly practical, ensuring professionals are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in real-world settings,” explained LaDonna Williams, chair of the Center’s Advisory Board.
