Louisiana Healthcare Connections Sponsors Free Health, Dental & Vision Clinic

Louisiana Healthcare Connections, a Medicaid health plan serving the Louisiana Department of Health and a wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), announced its sponsorship of the Baton Rouge Love Heals Free Clinic on Feb. 17 from 6 a.m.-8 p.m. at the Louisiana Leadership Institute, 5763 Hooper Rd. in Baton Rouge.

The clinic will be providing free medical, dental, and vision services to residents of Baton Rouge, including free eye exams and prescription glasses, free dental cleanings, fillings, and extractions, free medical exams, treatment of chronic illnesses, and more, along with free prescription medication.

"Louisiana Healthcare Connections is committed to prioritizing preventative care, vision, and dental health, recognizing its significant impact on overall health. We offer a wide range of preventative care for our members, including vision care and chronic disease management, along with children’s medical and dental services," stated Louisiana Healthcare Connections Chief Medical Officer Stewart T. Gordon, M.D., FAAP. “This is an incredible outreach for those who do not have health plan coverage or who are otherwise unable to visit a local care provider, and we are proud to support the Love Heals Free Clinic and all of the volunteers who give of their time and talents to support this worthy effort.”
