CIS Hosts Free Screenings for PAD Month

More than 20 million Americans suffer from a condition called peripheral artery disease (PAD), a common circulatory problem in the legs. For PAD Awareness Month this September, Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is hosting free screenings in Baton Rouge, Prairieville, and Zachary.

Ankle brachial index and thermal imaging screenings will be offered to detect circulation issues in the legs. Free screening details are as follows:

CIS Baton Rouge is hosting a free screening on Sept. 13 from 8-11 a.m. at 8401 Picardy Avenue. Results will be provided by Drs. Shashitha Gavini and Phillip Smith.

CIS Zachary is hosting a free screening on Sept. 20 from 8-11 a.m. at 6550 Main Street, Suite 1000. Results will be provided onsite by Abdullah Munir, MD.

CIS Prairieville is hosting a free screening on Sept. 26 from 5:15-7:15 p.m. at 37292 Marketplace Drive, Suite A. Results will be provided Drs. Satish Gadi and Shashitha Gavini.
