Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center has named Mike Miranda as Cancer Center administrator for the Northshore Region. Miranda will be responsible for overseeing the Covington, Hammond, and Slidell Cancer Center locations.
Miranda has extensive experience in the healthcare industry and has served as the administrator of the Covington location since 2021. He joined the Cancer Center in 2006 and served as the program manager for the radiation therapy program from 2008 until his recent role as administrator.
"Mike's experience and deep roots in the Northshore region make him the ideal person to lead our Northshore facilities,” said Jodi Conachen, chief operating officer, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. “This region was where the Cancer Center first expanded its reach 35 years ago with the opening of our Hammond satellite location and has continued with our Covington and Slidell centers. Under Mike’s leadership, Mary Bird Perkins will continue to provide the high-quality and compassionate care that our patients have come to expect. And, by regionalizing our resources, more residents across our region will be able to access leading-edge technology and nationally recognized research options."
Miranda received a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. He received a Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Imaging from Washburn University in Topeka, Kan.
