Baton Rouge General Teams Up with 100 Black Men for Vaccine Booster Drive

Baton Rouge General (BRG) is teaming up with 100 Black Men and community partners East Baton Rouge Council on Aging and Gloryland Baptist Church for a COVID-19 vaccine booster drive. The event will be held April 22 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Gloryland, 6745 Greenwell Springs Rd. The vaccine drive aims to provide access to community members aged 50 and up.

The Pfizer COVID-19 booster will be administered, and attendees who have been vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine are still eligible to receive the booster. At least eight weeks must have passed since your last booster.

BRG hosted COVID-19 vaccine events at Gloryland Baptist church during the height of the pandemic, in March 2021, providing nearly 2,000 vaccines to community members.

To register, visit 100blackmenmetrobr.org or call (225) 329-9000. A valid form identification as well as a vaccination card (either the LA Wallet app or physical card) is required.
