Ochsner Baton Rouge recently welcomed the following medical staff members:
Jeff Redmond, MD, is a radiologist at Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge. Redmond earned a medical degree from the LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine. He completed a residency in radiology at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn., and a musculoskeletal fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and licensed to practice in Louisiana and Mississippi.
Rachael Kermis, MD, practices family medicine at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. Kermis earned a medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine and completed a residency in family medicine at Baton Rouge General, where she served as chief resident. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians. In her practice, Kermis provides multigenerational care, treating newborns to adults.
Capt. Aaron Hunt, NP, specializes in internal and family medicine at Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove. As an active-duty military nurse practitioner, he also serves as a captain in the U.S. Army National Guard as 225th Engineering Brigade’s medical operations provider in Pineville. Hunt earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Southern University.
Adrienne Orgeron, PA, specializes in urgent care at Ochsner Health Center – Gonzales. After completing undergraduate studies at LSU, Orgeron earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University. She is a former East Baton Rouge Parish EMS paramedic.
Gabrielle Gilbert, PA, specializes in urgent care at Ochsner Urgent Care and Occupational Health – Highland Park in Baton Rouge. After undergraduate studies at LSU, Gilbert earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Xavier University.
Mi’Osha Bailey, NP, specializes in urgent care at Ochsner Urgent Care and Occupational Health – Highland Park in Baton Rouge. Her experience includes providing care in nursing home, acute care, and medical-surgery settings. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Southern University.
Kristen Muscarello, FNP, specializes in diabetes management at Ochsner Health Center – O'Neal and Ochsner Health Center – Tangipahoa in Hammond. She has experience in internal medicine consultation, family medicine, and primary care. Muscarello earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama. She is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a professional member of the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists, American Diabetes Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Kiara Turner, NP, specializes in palliative medicine at Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge. Turner earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Southern University. She has experience in hospice care, cardiology, and pediatrics. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Kelsey Rutherford, NP, is a family medicine nurse practitioner at Ochsner Medical Complex – Iberville. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Mo., and a master’s degree in nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University.
