BRG Names Jennifer Manale its New Chief Nursing Officer

Baton Rouge General announced it has named Jennifer Manale, RN, BSN, CNOR, as its chief nursing officer, overseeing all nursing operations at the Bluebonnet and Ascension campuses, the BRG School of Nursing, and perioperative services. Manale will work closely with Angie Clouatre, CNO, at BRG’s Mid City campus.

Since joining the organization in 1989 as a nurse in the operating room, Manale has served in multiple patient care and healthcare management positions, most recently as interim CNO and director of perioperative services. As CNO, she works closely with the hospital’s nursing directors, providing the strategic vision to manage clinical services and all areas of patient care.

“Jennifer is a talented leader with more than 30 years of nursing experience at BRG,” said Edgardo Tenreiro, BRG’s president and CEO. “She has built strong relationships with our nursing leaders and our physicians, earning the respect of all who know her.”   She will also work closely with other CNOs in the region through the Louisiana Independent Hospital Network Coalition, a statewide network of independent healthcare providers sharing resources to improve patient care and reduce costs.

Manale has played a critical role in the expansion of BRG’s surgery services, including the opening of the Mid City Specialty Center, the Perkins Endoscopy Center, the Center for Health Outpatient Surgery suites, and multiple operating room expansions at the Bluebonnet hospital.
