Jag Mobile Offering Free Breast Cancer Screenings

The Jag Mobile, a mobile health unit created in partnership between Ochsner Baton Rouge and Southern University, will visit Baton Rouge-area neighborhoods this fall providing breast cancer screenings. The screenings, which take place from September through November, are provided free of charge, thanks to funding from the American Cancer Society.

No pre-scheduling or pre-registration is required, regardless of insurance status, and the screenings are open to the public.

“These free screenings are made possible through a collaboration of several groups – Ochsner Health, Southern University and the American Cancer Society, along with our community partners that will host these events,” said AnnaBeth Guillory, vice president of cancer services.
