Spine Hospital of LA Welcomes New Ceo

The Spine Hospital of Louisiana at the NeuroMedical Center announced Terri L. Hicks as its new chief executive officer. Hicks succeeds former President and CEO Robert D. Blair, who held the hospital’s top leadership role for 12 years. Hicks joins The Spine Hospital on Aug. 22 and officially assumes the CEO role on Oct. 1.

Hicks was selected as the new CEO following a comprehensive national search led by the hospital’s board of directors. She brings more than 30 years of senior healthcare administration and operations to the role.

Hicks was the CFO/COO at P&S Surgical Hospital in Monroe, while also overseeing management of a second surgical hospital in the Monroe area (Monroe Surgical Hosp). In her most recent position, she served as the CFO for St. Francis Medical Center.

“Terri brings a tremendous proven track record in healthcare administration and particularly, an appreciation and knowledge of the specialty hospital industry. Having someone who knows the importance and detail of daily operations, while seeing the big picture and growth potential is essential to our continued success,” said Greg Fautheree, MD, chairman of the board. Kelly Scrantz, MD, chief medical officer said, “We are elated to bring Terri on board, as she genuinely values the importance of our focus on patient satisfaction and quality outcomes, always putting the patient first. As CEO, Terri will provide overall leadership and direction for the organization, carrying our facility into the future with a commitment to our vision of being a nationally recognized center of excellence for spine surgery and pain management.”
