NeuroMedical Center adds Neurosurgeron Brandon Gaynor, MD

The NeuroMedical Center announced the expansion of its practice in Louisiana with the association of Brandon Gaynor, MD, in the practice of neurosurgery.

He is a board-certified neurosurgeon who graduated from the combined six-year BA/MD program at the University of Missouri Kansas City in 2009. Gaynor completed a residency in neurological surgery in 2016 at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital where he trained under the founders of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, a world-renowned center for spinal cord injury treatment and research.

Gaynor specializes in adult neurosurgery including degenerative disease of the spine, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, sciatica, radiculopathy, cranial and spinal trauma, spine fracture, hydrocephalus, and peripheral nerve disorders. He also has extensive experience in the surgical management of brain conditions such as stroke, brain tumor, and subdural hematoma. A strong advocate of conservative care, Gaynor shares all care options with patients and employs minimally invasive surgical techniques whenever possible.

“I look forward to serving the communities of Greater Baton Rouge. I believe the NeuroMedical Center offers a unique team-based approach to treating all aspects of the spine, brain, and nervous system, and I am excited to be joining this excellent group of specialists,” said Gaynor. “My goal is to treat each patient like family by customizing a unique treatment plan that utilizes the latest evidenced-based techniques and minimally invasive procedures. I want to help my patients get back to enjoying the activities that they love.”
