Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group has expanded its network of providers to include Nicholas LeBlanc, MD, a thoracic surgeon, focusing on the chest organs, including the lungs, esophagus, trachea, and thymus. LeBlanc will also work closely with oncologists and other cancer specialists at Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center.
Originally from Lafayette, LeBlanc received an undergraduate degree from Furman University in Greenville, SC. and his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. LeBlanc completed a residency in general surgery at Virginia Tech-Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Va. and a fellowship in thoracic surgery at the University of Manitoba Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Canada. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and care for benign, malignant, and traumatic diseases involving the esophagus, lungs, mediastinum, chest wall, trachea, pleura, stomach, and diaphragm.
LeBlanc works with Emily Cassidy, MD, Emily Kemp, PA, and Katherine Templeton, NP, at Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group Thoracic Surgery. The clinic is located on the first floor of Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center, 4950 Essen Lane.
