Woman's Hospital to Host Virtual Baby Grand

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, Woman’s Hospital is bringing back its popular Baby Grand event in a new format. All expecting parents are invited to join Woman’s virtually for the free live educational event on Saturday, Jan. 15 from 9-11 a.m.

The virtual event will feature a hospital tour, prenatal education sessions, baby care basics, and guest appearances from many of Woman’s experts to help expecting parents prepare for a new baby. There will be multiple prize drawings and discount codes provided throughout the event. Attendees must register online at womans.org/babygrand to receive the link to attend and be eligible for prizes.

“There are so many things to consider and do when preparing for a baby, and our Baby Grand event has been a staple for nearly 40 years in providing free education to expecting parents in our community,” said Cheri Johnson, chief nursing officer at Woman’s Hospital. “While we aren’t able to bring back an in-person event just yet, we’re excited to provide a virtual option with the same great information and advice from local maternal and child health experts.”

Presenters and panelists will include OB-GYNs, pediatricians, nurses, lactation consultants, physical therapists, and fitness trainers who specialize in prenatal exercise. These experts will address the most common questions expecting parents have during pregnancy, labor, childbirth and caring for a new baby. Guests will discuss the best ways to have a healthy pregnancy, what to expect during labor and delivery, how to prepare for a successful start to breastfeeding, caring for your own body during and after pregnancy, how to create a safe environment for your baby, and more. Local pediatricians will also provide answers to FAQs about caring for newborns.
