Woman’s Hospital Reaccredited by American College of Surgeons NAPBC

Woman’s Hospital has been reaccredited by the American College of Surgeons through their National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). The three-year accreditation certifies the hospital’s commitment to providing the best possible care to patients with diseases of the breast.

“Earning this reaccreditation is another example of the excellence in breast care Woman’s Hospital delivers. Providing premier breast care resources to our patients during such a sensitive time makes us especially proud to offer these services to the Capital Region,” says Rene Ragas, president and CEO of Woman’s Hospital.

As an NAPBC facility, Woman’s meets or exceeds standards for providing the best care available to patients with breast diseases throughout the entire course of treatment. This includes prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.

NAPBC is a program available through the American College of Surgeons. It provides the structure and resources needed to develop and operate a high-quality breast center. Programs that earn accreditation demonstrate a commitment to quality care and performance based on nationally recognized standards.
