Our Lady of the Lake Health Names Logan Austin as Chief Operating Officer

Our Lady of the Lake Health welcomes Logan Austin as newly selected chief operating officer (COO) for Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. As COO, Austin will oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.  

“Logan’s appointment as chief operating officer reflects our dedication to recruiting top talent in the healthcare industry,” said Chuck Spicer, president of Our Lady of the Lake Health. “His expertise in the details of hospital operations, strategic planning, and team development will be incredibly valuable as we continue to enhance the patient experience and make a positive impact on the health and well-being of those we serve.” 

Austin joins Our Lady of the Lake Health from Community Health Systems in Franklin, Tenn., where he most recently served as chief administrative officer at ShorePoint Health with responsibilities for their two acute care hospitals and freestanding emergency department in the Lee County, Florida region. Community Health Systems is a Tennessee-based for-profit corporation that operates healthcare delivery systems in 47 distinct markets across 16 states. Prior to this most recent position, Austin served in executive leadership roles in Birmingham, Alabama Statesville, North Carolina and Mooresville, North Carolina where he facilitated major expansion projects and service line development initiatives which ultimately led to improved quality of care and financial performance through operational transformation.

Logan Austin earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Alabama before obtaining a Master of Science in Health Administration and Master of Business from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
