Leaders from Ochsner Health System and the City of Baton Rouge celebrated the opening of Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove, located at 10310 The Grove Blvd.
Guest speakers included Eric McMillen, CEO, Ochsner Baton Rouge; Warner Thomas, president & CEO, Ochsner Health System; Sharon Weston Broome, Mayor-President, City of Baton Rouge and East Baton Rouge Parish; Dr. Aldo Russo, regional medical director, Ochsner Baton Rouge; and others.
The complex represents a 116 million investment – the largest single investment in the history of Ochsner Health System. The five-story 255,000 square foot medical complex includes a multispecialty clinic and attached surgical center with an overnight stay 10-bed hospital featuring optimal hospital rooms. The new location replaced the Bluebonnet clinic located at 9001 Summa Avenue. Ochsner at The Grove has 249 exam/procedure rooms, 40% more than the facility it replaced. This created the capacity to see over 2,000 patients per day.
