Ochsner Health Joins Hall of Fame Health to Serve its Football Families, Combat Vets

Ochsner Health has joined Hall of Fame Health as its exclusive partner in the Gulf South region, providing healthcare resources to Hall of Fame Health’s community of former professional football players, select combat veteran groups, and their families.

Ochsner will greatly expand Hall of Fame Health’s ability to meet the needs of families by utilizing its concierge-style service. Through the partnership, Hall of Fame Health members will have access to all of Ochsner’s specialties and treatments. This partnership will be led by an appointed medical director, Christopher White, MD, interventional cardiologist and medical director of Ochsner’s centers of excellence.

“We are proud to join forces with Hall of Fame Health, as it represents a significant commitment to providing high-quality healthcare to the communities we serve,” said White. “At Ochsner, we treat patients from all walks of life and are very experienced with the unique healthcare needs of professional athletes. We are thrilled to be able to connect them and their families with the many services our health system provides.”

Hall of Fame Health, which began as an initiative of Pro Football Hall of Fame members, focuses on caring for former professional football players and their families, many of whom often face healthcare challenges without the resources available to them during their playing years. Hall of Fame Health provides these families with vital resources nationwide to ensure they connect with the best care possible.

Many health systems, medical groups, technology companies, and other global healthcare leaders have partnered with Hall of Fame Health to help it serve this population. Hall of Fame Health’s platform is also selectively offered to other groups, like the Special Forces Foundation, which serves combat veteran special operators as a supplement to Veterans Affairs offerings and other government programs.

“We serve communities of individuals and their families, who at times in their lives were the very best at what they do. It’s fitting that those stepping up to join our mission are – in the healthcare world – only the best of the best. Ochsner is such a premier health system, and we couldn’t be more honored to have them join us,” said Jeremy Hogue, CEO of Hall of Fame Health.

“We are also so impressed with Ochsner’s data-driven approach to closing gaps in health disparities for people in Louisiana,” said Hogue. “This issue is near and dear to us, and for Ochsner, it’s not just talk, it’s real action.”
