Ochsner Health is ACS of LA's 2021 Cancer Control Corporate Partner of the Year

Ochsner Health has been recognized as the American Cancer Society of Louisiana’s 2021 Cancer Control Corporate Partner of the Year and as a top contributor for 2021.

“Ochsner Health’s commitment to the American Cancer Society and improving health outcomes across our state is unsurpassed. Despite the challenges and competing healthcare priorities over this last year, Ochsner and its employees continued to remain committed to the fight against cancer by participating in 12 ACS fundraising events across Louisiana, resulting in a contribution of over $220,000,” said Errin Viguerie, executive director of the American Cancer Society – Louisiana/East Texas Area. “As our 2021 Cancer Control Corporate Partner of the Year, we are truly grateful for Ochsner Health and their dedication in the fight against cancer across Louisiana.”

In addition to its financial contribution, Ochsner and its multidisciplinary oncology service line, the Ochsner Cancer Institute, has partnered with the American Cancer Society on various prevention, screening, and access to care efforts.

“We pride ourselves on delivering the best cancer care in the Gulf South to save our patients lives and give peace of mind and hope to their loved ones,” said AnnaBeth Guillory, vice president of cancer clinic operations, Ochsner Cancer Center – Baton Rouge.

“Each year we are making strides to transform cancer care as we know it with new methods of early detection and less invasive cures. This is all made possible with the help of organizations like American Cancer Society, the leader in the fight to end cancer for good, and we are grateful to support this work.”
