Ochsner Cancer Center – Baton Rouge has again earned accreditation from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Radiology, two distinctions that reflect the comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to cancer care Ochsner provides patients across its health system.
OCC-Baton Rouge received the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Quality Oncology Practice Initiative. The three-year accreditation certifies that Ochsner’s oncology practices meet the highest quality standards for cancer care, along with each of the initiative’s evidenced-based core standards in chemotherapy treatment and patient care.
OCC-Baton Rouge is also one of four Ochsner cancer centers to receive the American College of Radiology’s Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation. This three-year certification guarantees that cancer centers meet specific practice guidelines for radiation oncology, staff qualifications and training, high-level equipment standards and quality improvement programs.
