Morgan M. Bankston, MD, Joins Louisiana Women’s Healthcare

Louisiana Women’s Healthcare (LWH) welcomes Morgan M. Bankston, MD, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). Bankston will begin seeing patients in her private practice with LWH on the campus of Woman’s Hospital on Sept. 1, 2021.

The University High of Baton Rouge graduate completed undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia in Athens. After obtaining a medical degree at Louisiana Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, she completed a OB/GYN residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis where she served as chief resident from 2020-2021. While there, her specialized training focused on minimally invasive and robotic gynecological surgery, contraception management, and high- and low-risk obstetrics.

“After many years of training, I am excited to return home to Baton Rouge where I can build long-term, meaningful relationships in caring for our community,” said Bankston. “I look forward to being able to see patients from their first gynecology visit, through the pre- and post-natal care, all the way through to their menopausal and postmenopausal care. My goal is to help women be their best and healthiest selves at all stages of life.”

“Dr. Bankston brings impressive training and education to our close-knit team of OB/GYNs,” said Michael T. Perniciaro, MD, LWH chairman and president. “We are pleased to welcome Dr. Bankston to our work family and are equally excited that she will be able to share her skills here in her hometown.”

Bankston will see patients on the second floor at Louisiana Women’s Healthcare, located at 500 Rue de la Vie, Suite 100 in Baton Rouge on the campus of Woman’s Hospital.
