FMOL Health Commits $200K to Support MS, LA Food Pantries

FMOL Health has announced a $200,000 donation to help combat food insecurity in both Mississippi and Louisiana. The contribution will be divided equally, with $100,000 supporting food banks in Mississippi and $100,000 benefiting food pantries in Louisiana. The Louisiana donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar by First Lady Sharon Landry’s foundation, amplifying the impact for communities in need.

FMOL Health’s $100,000 donation to the Love One Louisiana Foundation will be matched by the First Lady’s foundation, doubling the total support to $200,000 for families facing food insecurity across the Bayou state.

In Mississippi, the $100,000 donation will be directed to Stewpot Community Services. Stewpot serves approximately 700 underserved individuals each month through its pantry, Community Kitchen, and Meals on Wheels program for homebound seniors.

FMOL Health | St. Dominic also operates the Sister Trinita Community Clinic within Stewpot’s footprint, delivering free primary care to low-income families and those experiencing homelessness. This support is especially critical as potential disruptions to SNAP benefits threaten food access for nearly 384,800 Mississippians.
