Culture of Health Summit Slated for Oct. 22-23

A fall health summit focused on navigating health equity and access in Louisiana through technology will be held Oct. 22-23. Early bird registration is now underway.

The Louisiana Action Coalition annual conference, entitled The Culture of Health Summit, is created for healthcare professionals, policymakers, educators, payors, and community leaders to discuss and address the pressing health issues facing Louisiana. The 2024 summit will delve into how technology can be leveraged to bridge health disparities and enhance healthcare accessibility for all. The conference will be held virtually via Zoom.

“Eliminating the Digital Divide: How the Lack of Broadband Affects Health Equity” will be the keynote topic by ConnectLA Executive Director Veneeth Iyengar on Oct. 23. His talk will highlight the critical importance of broadband access, and the steps needed to bridge the digital divide.        

Also speaking at the event will be Pat Quinlan, CEO and co-founder of Hippo Technologies. His Oct. 23 presentation, entitled “Technologies Use in Virtual Care,” will demonstrate the tool for increased access both in rural and urban communities. In addition, interactive sessions on the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in healthcare technology as well as networking to foster collaboration and idea exchange will be integrated into each morning session.

Early bird registration is now open and will run through Sept. 1 at a discounted rate of $50 for both days and $30 for one day. Regular registration, beginning on Sept. 2, will be $60 for both days and $35 for one day. The conference will be held each day from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. via Zoom.
