Cancer Services Hosts Cooking Demonstration with Celebrity Chef Celeste

Cancer Services will hold a cancer patient-friendly cooking demonstration with acclaimed Chef Celeste on Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Cancer Services, located at 550 Lobdell Avenue in Baton Rouge. The purpose of this no-cost event is to provide healthy, simple, and delicious cooking inspiration to those impacted by cancer.

Whether dealing with medical, emotional or financial challenges, eating a healthy meal can be difficult for many diagnosed with cancer. Through this cooking demonstration, Cancer Services aims to provide relief from the stresses of cancer with easy meal preparation ideas for the entire family.

The demonstration will be led by chef, caterer, and television personality Chef Celeste of Chef Celeste Bistro in Main Street Market. During the event, clients will both enjoy and learn how to make a three-course meal. The menu will consist of cancer patient-friendly recipes personally crafted by Chef Celeste.

“The process of preparing a healthy meal is a challenge for many, especially those diagnosed with cancer,” said Krista Bergeron, LPC, counselor and support group leader, Cancer Services. “Thanks to Chef Celeste and the generosity of our community, our clients and their families will learn how to make healthy recipes at no cost.
