Local doctors are putting down their stethoscopes to pick up guitars, drums, and microphones for a benefit concert that will raise funds to support youth sports. Orthopaedic surgeon, Wame Waggenspack, MD, with Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic is bringing his band Blue Verse together for regional nonprofit organization, BROC Foundation, for the inaugural BROC, Rock, & Wine presented by Audi Baton Rouge.
A one-night benefit concert and wine walk supporting youth athletic programs, BROC, Rock, & Wine will be held July 29th at the LSU Tiger Stadium in the club suites, from 6- 10 p.m.; doors open at 6 p.m.
The event will feature live music by Blue Verse, wine and cocktail tastings, and small bites, sponsored by local retailers.
All proceeds will benefit athletic training outreach services and sports medicine coverage across the South Louisiana area, with the overall goal of ensuring the safety of children participating in youth sports.
