BRG’s In-Person Tours for Expecting Parents to Resume in June

Baton Rouge General (BRG) announced that it will resume in-person tours of its Birth Center for expecting parents, starting this month. After more than a year-long pause on tours and in-person classes due to COVID-19 visitor restrictions, the Birth Center (located on BRG’s Bluebonnet campus) is ready to welcome back expecting parents for in-person tours.

The first Birth Center Tour is set for June 9 at 6 p.m. Expecting parents can get a lay of the land -- like where to enter the hospital on the big day and where to park -- as well as a tour of the Birth Center’s mother-baby suites. Parents will also have the chance to meet the staff and asks any questions they may have.

Parents can register for any three upcoming tour dates, which are June 9, July 7 or August 3. The tours are free, but space is limited, and registration is required. Siblings who attend must be 12 years or older, in line with the current hospital visitation policy. All attendees must wear a mask inside the hospital. Light refreshments will be provided.
