Baton Rouge Rehab Hospital (BRRH) and Baton Rouge General (BRG) have been named in the No. 1 and No. 3 spot in Louisiana, respectively, in Newsweek’s “Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers.” Rehabilitation facilities are ranked based on quality of care, service, and follow-up care, as well as accommodations and amenities.
“It is an honor to see our system’s rehabilitation facilities be recognized for the amazing work we do improving the quality of life for the people of our community,” said Trisha Guidry, acting chief operating officer at BRG Mid City and service line administrator over physical medicine and rehabilitation. “Both facilities pride themselves on providing quality and compassionate care.”
In addition to its inpatient rehabilitation unit, the Mid City campus also houses BRG’s skilled nursing facility, which was named a “Best Nursing Home” by U.S. News & World Report for its high-performing rating in short-term rehabilitation.
BRRH, a joint venture within the BRG system, is an 86,000-square-foot freestanding facility offers both inpatient and outpatient care. BRRH specializes in neurological and orthopedic-based treatments and services for patients who have suffered strokes, amputations, spinal injuries, and neurological disorders.
