Twenty-nine registered nurses through Ochsner Health System and the Ochsner Health Network were named among the 2017 "Great 100 Nurses of Louisiana."
The 29 Ochsner nurses named in the “Great 100 nurses of Louisiana” include David Howell and Kayla Rogers of Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge.
The Great 100 Nurses Foundation was founded in New Orleans, 31 years ago, and since then has honored thousands of nurses across Louisiana, North Carolina, Texas, and Oklahoma. The Foundation recognizes outstanding nursing accomplishments and successes. The honorees are selected by their peers and patients, based on their achievements in four areas: Clinical/Community, Administration, Research, and Education.
Ochsner's nursing staff has a history of acknowledgments by the Great 100 Nurses of Louisiana Foundation for their commitment to patient care, including recognition of 294 nurses over the past nine years.
