LSU–Our Lady of the Lake Head and Neck Center Welcomes Dr. Larissa Sweeny

Larissa Sweeny, MD, has joined LSU–Our Lady of the Lake Head and Neck Center. She joins a team of otolaryngologists trained in medical and surgical management and treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck.

Sweeny graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Florida in Gainesville and went on to receive a medical degree in 2010 from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed a residency in otolaryngology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After completing the residency, Sweeny pursued advanced training in head and neck oncologic surgery and reconstruction by completing a fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. 

Located at 4950 Essen Lane, Suite 400, LSU–Our Lady of the Lake Head and Neck Center treats benign and malignant tumors, infectious diseases, deformities, and facial trauma. The center specializes in a variety of services including head and neck cancer, surgical oncology, complex sinus surgery, thyroid surgery, rehabilitation, and more.
