Lacey Adkins, MD, has joined the Our Lady of the Lake Voice Center, where she is providing care for voice, swallowing, and breathing disorders.
As an otolaryngologist, Dr. Adkins provides specialized care for patients at the Voice Center, using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to provide a wide range of medical, surgical, and behavioral treatments for upper airway disorders.
She joins a team of expert laryngologists and speech language pathologists that include Andrew J. McWhorter, MD, Melda Kunduk, PhD, Rebecca R. DeLatin, Deirdre Larsen, Mell A. Schexnaildre, Matthew Vansant, and Lindsey A. Parker. The Voice Center is a collaborative effort of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, the LSU Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the LSU Department of Communication Disorders.
Dr. Adkins is a fellowship-trained specialist who received her medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. She completed her residency in head and neck surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and completed her fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Ma.
