Physicians with Baton Rouge General Physicians (BRGP) were again named top performers in the state by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana (BCBSLA). The organization also recently recognized physicians and clinics for excellence in patient satisfaction and overall care.
BCBSLA recognized 43 doctors in the Baton Rouge area as Quality Blue Top Performers based on their treatment of patients with high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease, and heart disease. Forty percent of the 43 Louisiana physicians who were named top performers were Baton Rouge General Physicians.

Dr. Michael Yorek, family medicine practitioner with Baton Rouge Family Medical Center, was one of only five doctors in the state and two in Baton Rouge who was ranked as a high performer in all four of the targeted conditions.
