Baton Rouge General Names Bryan Day SVP of Business Development

Baton Rouge General has named Bryan Day as Senior Vice President of  Business Development for Baton Rouge General/General Health System.

Day has more than 30 years of healthcare experience, most recently serving as the Executive Vice President of Operations at Promise Healthcare, based in Boca Raton, Fla., where he was responsible for the oversight of 10 long-term acute care hospitals across the country. Prior to joining Promise, he held executive roles at HealthSouth Corporation and Willis-Knighton Health System in Shreveport.

In this new role, Day will lead BRG’s efforts to develop relationships with strategic partners across the region. He will provide leadership and strategic direction for BRG’s collaboration with independent physicians, regional healthcare organizations, and other potential collaborative partners, as well as provide oversight of the Baton Rouge General’s legislative relations.   

Day holds a Bachelor of Science degree from LSU and a Master’s degree in Health System Management from Tulane University in New Orleans. He is a member of the American College of Hospital Executives, and is actively involved with the Louisiana Hospital Association. Day is a longstanding member of the Independence Sports Foundation based in Shreveport, St. Thomas More Parish Men’s Club, and the Catholic High School Men’s Club, as well as an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. He is a lifelong resident of Louisiana and currently lives in Baton Rouge.
