The City of Lake Charles will offer Operation Healing and Restoration—a free health clinic hosted by Remote Area Medical (RAM) and sponsored by Louisiana Healthcare Connections—at the Lake Charles Civic Center, 900 Lakeshore Drive, from Sept. 15-16.

As many as 1,500 people from across the state are expected to receive free dental, vision, and medical care at the two-day event. No qualifying questions will be asked, and attendees do not need ID or health insurance to receive services.

Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group welcomed seven physicians, two nurse practitioners, and one physician assistant to its network of care. These providers join one of Baton Rouge’s largest physician networks comprised of an experienced group of doctors specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of illnesses and complex medical problems.  

New providers include:

-Jess Anderson, MD, hospitalist at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center

-Nicholas Boone, NP, family medicine at LSU Health Baton Rouge – North Clinic

Baton Rouge General (BRG) was ranked 83rd in the nation and first in Baton Rouge for consumer loyalty, according to National Research Corporation (NRC) Health’s new Consumer Loyalty Awards. The Consumer Loyalty Awards are the first and only loyalty-based hospital rankings in the U.S, recognizing the top healthcare facilities garnering extraordinary loyalty from their patient populations.
